Title asks is all, how do you do your baked beans?

Personally I like starting with Bush's baked beans for the base then changing it up...

Of course I use bacon, if I'm doing it all inside I just bake the bacon until nice and crisp.

As for what I do..

Drain out all the liquid from the can and then add; some bacon, few spoon fulls of brown sugar and to replace the liquid....BEER! About anything works...I've used everything from Sam Adams Boston Lager and even the Winter Lager to Blue Moon. Then I bake in the oven...mostly under meat like chicken (or by far my favorite) pork chops or pork steaks.

So how do you guys do it? Thinking about trying some on the grill when I smoke some meat later this year.

I can't do beans for the life of me, lol. I just open a can, dump 'em in a pot, then heat it up.

I start with a large can of pork and beans.

Drain about 1/4 to 1/2 of the juice out and put into a pyrex baking pan.
Add a half a cup to 3/4 cup of light brown sugar,
slice bacon and add it in raw.
About 3 to 4 tablespoons ketchup
1/4 cup of Ms. Butterworths syrup or Golden Eagle Syrup or Mollases. (Optional)
1/4 of a white onion.
Salt and pepper.
Bake at 350 for an hour, or until bacon is cooked.

mine are simple:

1) Open can of Bush's original baked beans
2) dump in pan and heat
3) serve.

2 pieces of thick cut bacon frozen
1 small onion diced
1 jalapeno diced
1 pablano(sp) fire roasted and skinned then diced
1 can vegetarian baked beans.

Cut the bacon up into small pieces and fry in the bottom of a pot.

In a skillet fry up the onion, japs and pablano.

Once the bacon is crispy ad a large can of the vegetarian baked beans.I use Bush.Mix in your veggies.Add your favorite BBQ sauce and some salt and pepper to taste.

Pour in a pyrex and cook at 350 for about 30 mins.

People love it.

I posted a recipe for baked beans on this forum a while ago, might as well make them the real way if you're going to go though the trouble of bbq'ing something.

Sautee finely chopped 1/2 a White Spanish onion with 8oz chopped thick cut bacon. When carmelized and a little crispy add to a crockpot (including pan juice) with a large can of your favorite Bush's Baked beans, then 1/3 cup brown sugar and 2 table spoons of Horse Radish mustard and two squirts of ketchup, put on high for 4 hours in crock pot, even my youngest two year old daughter eats it...
