HEY!!!! Besides the most awesome hair style EV-AH (or lack there of), I'm an "America's Test Kitchen" fan also!!!!  Been a subscriber to Cook's Illustrated for about 8 years now. I like it because it shows the chemistry science behind what we eat and why it tastes so good. Yum  :spam

Thanks for checking out the thread, hippitydippity. We subscribed to Cook's Illustrated for a while, it's a very well done magazine with lots of interesting articles, but generally a bit too high brow for an amateur like me.

OMGHOLYWTFBBQ !!!!! Waffle Ham & Cheese !!!!!!!!!! That sounds Epic !!!!!! actually most of the stuff you have posted here sounds great !!!

Great thread man !!  :2thumbs

Thanks, xxDerPittsxx. I expect there will be a lot more waffled food posts. "Will It Waffle" is a lot of fun and the recipes are pretty easy. Cleaning the damn waffle iron is the most annoying part (make sure to get one with removable plates, unlike the one I own). Speaking of waffled recipes...

Fawaffle (Will It Waffle?): A fawaffle is, of course, waffled falafel. These turned out great and were served with flatbread, hummus, tzatziki (made by my wife), and a side of cherry tomatoes and cucumber.

Mushroom Tart (Great Food Fast): This didn't seem very fast but it tasted good. Definitely could have used more onion and mushrooms.

Sweet Potato Chili (Allrecipes): This was the main dish for my Super Bowl eats. It was very good after the recipe was slightly altered to account for my Scandinavianness, i.e. aversion to spicy food.

Texas Caviar (Allrecipes): Super Bowl eats part II. I've made this before and used less Italian dressing this time (6 instead of 8oz) and it was much better, the dressing didn't overwhelm the rest of the flavors. I couldn't find very good looking avocados here in ND but they tasted fine.
