Thursipiday-Tell us about where you have been and where you want to go

Most of the places I've been aren't terribly interesting or forgeign.

The only "foreign" country I've been to (by strict definition, Delaware doesn't count) is Canada. I went there my Freshman year of college on a ski trip with Widener's ski club. The trip was to Quebec City and we skied Mount St. Anne. It was a beautiful mountain. The big standout of the trip was when the first night there, one of the other students go drunk at a bar, broke the window on the bar's door and punched a cop. We didn't see him for rest of the trip, and he wasn't real talkative on the trip back.

The furthest west I've been is Phoenix. I was there for a conference at a hotel/casino that was on an Native American reservation. I'm convinced that it was only considered to be in Phoenix because that's where the nearest post office was. It took the shuttle nearly as long to drive from downtown Phoenix to the hotel as it took to drive from Sky Harbor to downtown. So, I didn't see much of the city, but it struck was not having many tall buildings and having a prevalence of earth tones.

I've been to Disney World several times in my life. When I was a kid, we went a few times. The most memorable Disney trip of my childhood was when we took the underground tour: an all-day, guided tour of the underground warrens that make Disney the magical place that it is. There was even a presentation on the history and philosophy of Disney World. If you have an opportunity to take it, I highly recommend it, but it's not for little kids. Seeing Mickey with his head off can be a bit traumatic (in face, they won't allow children below a certain age to be brought on the tour).

The most memorable trip to Disney World overall is, hands down, our honeymoon. Disney has not just a talent, but a culture to make one feel special. We were given buttons identifying us as being just married. These buttons were an excuse for an already friendly staff to go out of their way to be extra friendly and make our too short time there extra special. This was also Alyce's first time at Disney World. I'll be honest, the modern Disney World has ruined other theme parks for me.

Like most other anime fans, I'd like to visit Japan. There's a richness and mystery to its history that piques my curiosity. I'd also like to visit Disney World once again with my son, so that he too can experience the magic that is Disney for himself.

Disney is pretty awesome, we went there on my daughters Make a Wish trip she was given a button too and everyone went out of there way to do things for her.

I hope you've been studying for tomorrow lol

Man, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts.  I've also noticed you on the WoT clan channel.  The tour you took at Disney is great.  There are a couple of other you an look into when the time comes up again.  I agree other theme parks just don't measure up.  Of course I am biased, since I worked for disney many years ago.

Welcome, I can't wait to read the final installment. :happyyes
