Any Knife Makers Here?

Recommended Posts

"Camillus Cutlery Co., the first manufacturer to supply the Ka-Bar Combat Knife under contract, also produced the largest number of such knives, producing over one million examples marked "Camillus.N.Y." on the knife's crossguard before the war [WW2] ended."

When one of my daughters graduated from Marine Corps boot camp, I gave her an actual WW2 Ka-Bar, stamped USMC on one side, and Camillus NY on the other. Extra sweet because it's where I live.

Very Nice JD!  My Cousin was a bladesman. He began as a ferrier, then took on more and more smithing. Sadly he passed away a few weeks ago from Cancer. He too made some impressive stuff.

Here is a link from America Ferrier about his passing.

Yeah, the forging stuff is really cool and impressive. I'm not that far gone (yet?). The amount and the expense of the tools to go down that road is high! But the Damascus knives are super cool.

Definitely way too young.
