http://wotreplays.co...grimm65-matilda

So I got my first ever Kolobanov's medal yesterday in a match in my Matilda.

It is a bit slow (both the game and the Matilda). It was on malinovka and i spawned east so went to cover the eastern flank. In the end it was me vs 3 Pz B2's, a "Duck" (AMX 40) and a Cruiser II.

I thought it was over since 2 of the Pz B2's were platooned and had WN8's over 1900 so I assumed they would work together to take me out.

It is funny you can get a Kolobanov's at tier 4 but not a Radley Walters!

I have problems pasting screen shots- sorry.

Well played.  The Kolobanov's medal is a very good one to get.

Congrats Grimm! I got mine in a Ferdi... killed the last 5 tanks in a city... don't know about yours, but I was lucky they either came at me one at a time or let me "sneak up" on them ;)

Sneaking up on someone in a Ferdinand should have it's own medal.

Ha! Yeah... I think they assumed that I would stay generally in one spot. You would think one of them would have paired up with one of the other 4...

Nice job. Out of curiousity, can the B2 or amx 40 even pen a matilda anywhere firing prem ammo? If tier 4 mm is kind (which I think it is given how bad 5 is with no bottom tier 3s) then Matilda might be the new seal-clubbing king.

The AMX 40 does not have the pen at all so would need to use HE - The PZ B2 does have the pen for both standard and prem. The B2's prem rounds have 90 pen and standard is 55. The Matilda armor is mainly 75 but its rear hull is 55

Huh that's surprising, I always thought that the B2 had horrific pen in exchange for its super preferential MM, although I'm pretty sure Matilda's effective armor is more than 75. Still remember Quickybaby's raid boss matilda video, very apt description.
