Blackroan 127
@SGrant7 well done. Your set up is almost the same as mine, I may have to switch out the Low Noise Exhaust for the IRS. I like the extra stealth but the extra light time might be worth the trade. Made the swap. This was the very first game: http://wotreplays.eu/site/5537341#prokhorovka-blackroan-t-100_lt SGrant7

The catch with those though is that it only works providing you have your aim circle within 10 degrees of the tank that you are spotting. But, if you can keep your gun moving from target to target that you are actively spotting, you can keep enemies lit for +15s, which is awesome.Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk

SGrant7 250
Yes. Without stacking on top of IRS, I feel like I am better off sticking with LNE.It certainly comes down to whether you think you have more of an advantage keeping enemies lit longer vs staying hidden longer. The LNE adds 5%, correct? The camo directive adds 10%... I think? The main advantage to LNE is that it's a counter (in some capacity) to CVS. Depending on proximity and camo in a bush, it won't always be enough. It also allows you a few more meters of leeway of getting closer to enemies without being spotted. 400m view range means that you get about an extra 20m buffer. Personally, based on tank type, nation and most likely loadout, I try to kite myself in the edge of enemy view ranges where I think I'm safe (even in the open while not firing) to keep them lit and not get spotted in return. The main advantage for IRS and the perk/directive is that once an enemy is spotted, they stay lit longer. This has a few additional benefits. They're spotted longer allowing more shots against them, especially on a map like Prok. They likely won't know they're still lit and presume shots against them will be done in 10s. This means they may pull back out of cover before they go dark and believe they are no longer lit, when in reality, they are perma-lit. They may move behind solid cover and pull back out thinking they are no longer lit to discover they are still lit and are greeted with some nice shells flying their way. And, they may pull behind cover, wait a few seconds until they think they have gone dark, and then change directions not knowing that their moves are still being watched.Obviously, there are catches to the loadouts. In a small city map, without bushes, the extra LNE & IRS would be less effective. But I feel like the IRS would still serve a little better than the LNE, but only just slightly. But if you do choose to use IRS, it's really only worth it if you are using the perk/directive combo. Otherwise, I feel the LNE certainly is the better option.Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
