So WG put out a statement that seems to put the SirFoch brouhaha to rest: http://forum.worldof...#entry11007272. It's fine, but the only reason that the controversy had legs is because of the underlying tank-balance problems and the pay-to-win direction of the game.

Archaic : (23 May 2017 - 06:38 PM)

well, threatening the livelihood of your main source of advertising probably contributed a little also. But yeah, the premiums are getting silly.

And Dez's video whether or not it is worth the price... his answer is... yes and no.

Depends on your play style. It gets penned from the front more than you might expect... especially against tier IX & X. This takes out the engine constantly. Which in turn means getting set on fire can be a real problem.

As top tier it's quite the beast. Though, the top deck has no armor... so it is fairly susceptible to HE splash. The pen is lacking, but if you played the T32 well without much gold, then you should be able to play this one. But note, the gold rounds have 20mm more pen than the T32, even though they have the exact same gun.

Just another tank to spam gold at whenever you see them. If you buy this you'll get about a week of gameplay before suitable countermeasures have spread through the community.

I am never quite sure of the responses to tank flavors as either sarcasm, humor or chiding..

However, having been a therapist before, I have removed all rusty scissors from my desk.. :)

While I may still spend money... it will only be for the occasional historic tank (i.e. Thunderbolt)... and gold when I need it...but as far as these recent releases, I'm done with as well.Bad enough I rarely play my T34 since it been creeped...50 bucks down the tubes

Still love my T34. Had a 4K damage game in it in Winterberg a couple of nights ago. You put that beast in the right spot and it's devastating. And it makes a lot of credis win or lose. What's not to love...

Screw it. I bought one. Yeah, it's merely the latest example of how they're just crushing the teets on this cash cow, but the fact remains that if I'm gonna have to face them, I want to be able to play them.

Here's Jingles talking about the Chrysler K and addressing Foch's video.

He's going to have a talk about Foch's video more in depth on Mingles with Jingles. But the short for this review is that Foch is 100% right.

It seems the uproar is centered around the fact that the Chrysler forces the use of premium ammo. That part doesn't bother me. After all, premium ammo is available for credits and at worst using it just reduces your credit income. What bothers me is simply WG's insistence on releasing premium tanks these days that are easy mode. No need to learn weak spots, traverse rates, etc., just dab that 2 key. I would have much preferred even more frontal armor with a weak spot or two.

That said, the Chrysler only performs, when it can keep all enemies directly in front of it. Flanking fire from anything over 30-40 degrees will shred it, and HE-firing arty should love seeing these things on the battlefield with their 38mm top armor front to back.
