Welcome to the forums sgt. flint :)

sgt. flint : (24 April 2017 - 11:38 PM)

Hey All......anyone out there from 2 years ago remember me?

sgt. flint : (24 April 2017 - 11:39 PM)

just started playing WOT again and looking for a clan or group

bergsteiger : (25 April 2017 - 08:31 AM)

Crazy night. Got all my wins AFTER I quit tooning. Very unusual.

The_Dad : (25 April 2017 - 08:36 AM)

similar experience last night... all my wins were BEFORE I started platooning

NeoGP : (25 April 2017 - 10:25 AM)

Hey Flint!

xtc4 : (25 April 2017 - 11:28 AM)

With new mm, having good players at the top of the list seems to make a huge difference. And platooning seems to almost always put you at bottom of the list. So perhaps it makes sense that you good players are winning when playing solo.

Archaic : (25 April 2017 - 11:14 PM)

Yes, platoons seem to be pretty gimped with 3-5-7

sgt. flint : (26 April 2017 - 02:12 AM)

Hey Neo, yes i remember you. any others from the old crew still running?

NeoGP : (26 April 2017 - 10:17 AM)

not sure man..I haven't played wot in 2+ years, alot of changes throughout the 5 clans

SGrant7 : (26 April 2017 - 12:05 PM)

Haven't been on much in the last few days, but are 2 man platoons fairing much better?

bergsteiger : (26 April 2017 - 02:38 PM)

Platooning doesn't seem as big of an issue as Tier 8s. Don't think I've had a single game that I was top tier in an VIII

Well I remember when this tank was in the normal tree as a non-premium.I have had my eye on it for so long, but I kept thinking I should have nabbed it without gold.

2 years have rolled by and I still haven't gotten it yet.Now there is an incredible sale on it in the gift shop along with some premium time I need.I Like premium tanks, I don't mind the big heavy slow ones and long reloads isn't unbearable either as I love my JPe100 with it's huge reload time.

I even worked my way all the way up to the T30 and hoped they were similar but that TDs armor isn't so hot.I see some tankers that have a few thousand games in it, and others that call it a dog.

What are your thoughts on this tank if you have it in your garage? Is it worth itwith the 15% discount atm?

It can be good or bad. The gun accuracy relegates it to brawling, and MM for me sets the battle. It is a good trainer and earns good credits, I got HT15 on mission set 1 done in it. Really depends on the gun and the battle tier. Top tier and the gun behaves? Great. Tier X match and the gun has a hissy fit? Not so good.

It isn't a bad tank. It will perform nearly the same as T32 with more alpha/pen but worse gun handling. T30 is one tier higher AND is a TD, so does not get the benefit of a vert stab. Otherwise, also very similar.

Key factor is that it is hull down map dependant. With the slower speed, it can make leveraging that more difficult as you can easily get caught in the open.

Don't expect to do well with it out of the gate - takes a little time to figure it out.  You're going to enjoy the credit earnings when you have a good game, though. Good luck with her.

Thanks, I expected it to be a slow climb.I at least will be able to start with a 100% crew since comes with one already. That should help.

I have the T29 and T30 so I am used to the body style...I will post some pics when I get a banner game.I miss the old days in my Lowe of seeing consistant 125,000 credit matches.

Seems like a lot of tanks got a credit earning nerf somewhere along the line.

If you already have a T29 then shouldn't you be using that crew in the T34? Why do you need a new 100% crew?

Also those crew skills look a bit strange, I would go for snap shot on gunner, clutch braking on driver (helps slow tank turn faster) and repairs on everyone else. The main disadvantage of the T34 is the gun handling, you want anything you can get to improve that.

I enjoy my T34, only thing I ever paid cash to WG for. But rarely take it out nowadays as I don't need the credits, but still it's a fun tank. Love the pen on the gun, and it's surprisingly good at sidescraping cos of those huge tracks.

I am odd in that I keep my crews in my tanks.I do not shuffle them around. One exception...I put my Stug IV crew in the E25 now and then but otherwise all my men stay in their tanks.I followed crew skill advice from a forum I found on WOT but I will take a new look at them thanks!

Premiums shouldn't have their own dedicated crews unless you have no other regular tanks of that type/nation.
