sgt. flint : (24 April 2017 - 11:38 PM)

Hey All......anyone out there from 2 years ago remember me?

sgt. flint : (24 April 2017 - 11:39 PM)

just started playing WOT again and looking for a clan or group

bergsteiger : (25 April 2017 - 08:31 AM)

Crazy night. Got all my wins AFTER I quit tooning. Very unusual.

The_Dad : (25 April 2017 - 08:36 AM)

similar experience last night... all my wins were BEFORE I started platooning

NeoGP : (25 April 2017 - 10:25 AM)

Hey Flint!

xtc4 : (25 April 2017 - 11:28 AM)

With new mm, having good players at the top of the list seems to make a huge difference. And platooning seems to almost always put you at bottom of the list. So perhaps it makes sense that you good players are winning when playing solo.

Archaic : (25 April 2017 - 11:14 PM)

Yes, platoons seem to be pretty gimped with 3-5-7

sgt. flint : (26 April 2017 - 02:12 AM)

Hey Neo, yes i remember you. any others from the old crew still running?

NeoGP : (26 April 2017 - 10:17 AM)

not sure man..I haven't played wot in 2+ years, alot of changes throughout the 5 clans

SGrant7 : (26 April 2017 - 12:05 PM)

Haven't been on much in the last few days, but are 2 man platoons fairing much better?

bergsteiger : (26 April 2017 - 02:38 PM)

Platooning doesn't seem as big of an issue as Tier 8s. Don't think I've had a single game that I was top tier in an VIII

So Sith and I are now officially admins on the Bungie.net clan.

I wanted to have a discussion on what people think.

As Ruiner mentioned about an old group that splintered and enforced some silly non-DHO rules, we don't want to alienate people.

That being said we want to try and bring the membership inline between the two lists of "members".

Below I'll type up a list that I can edit as we discuss of what we want to enforce for the DHO Clan Membership.

The first two I'll put at a post to the DHO Introductions thread (either as a reply of the bot posted one or the general one) and posting your PSN or GT to the Destiny Master list.

This will at least get their account created here and they will see the Destiny section of the forums, which is generally pretty active.

Also I had an idea for us to help get people from there to here. When we post raid signups or activities, let's post a link to the forum article over there saying we are looking for Raid signups or whatever.

Let's begin the discussion.

My immediate following post will talk about how to start cleanup.

========================
Bungie.Net Clan Requirements
========================
1. DHO Forum Introduction Post "confirming" fatherhood.
2. Destiny Forum post to Master List.
3. Request to join Clan.

As far as Cleanup I think we can farm PSN or GT from the Clan list and compare it to the master list we have on the Google Spreadsheet.

We can post a date over there for when we plan to do a cleanup, and give people a month or until the end of the year to come over and make an account here.

If we do that with some additional posts to that wall linking back here maybe we can get the migration started?

That sounds like a good starting point.

We can wait until the end of the year to do the purge, post a weekly reminder on the forum and on the group wall of how much time is left and the link back here.  Two months should be more than enough for people to come here and create an account.

Sounds good, do we know that the master list here is up-to-date? (as in, everyone that is on that list still plays? or is that not really concern as long as they are one of us?)

I think your plan has a good start.  I second the announcement stating what will happen - not sure if we have to wait until the end of the year but maybe a few weeks.

I am almost positive that the list isn't accurate as far as who still plays, but more along the lines is they played at some point.

Not sure if this is something we should worry about for now.

I would say that as long as they have fulfilled the original requirements (make an account here, etc) they are ok..... we could update the list to have an "Active/Inactive" designation based on whether or not they still play.  You never know, some may decide to pick it up again further down the line.

We should standardize some messaging for posting the cleanup to the "Wall" over on Bungie.net.
