Welcome to the forums sgt. flint :)

sgt. flint : (24 April 2017 - 11:38 PM)

Hey All......anyone out there from 2 years ago remember me?

sgt. flint : (24 April 2017 - 11:39 PM)

just started playing WOT again and looking for a clan or group

bergsteiger : (25 April 2017 - 08:31 AM)

Crazy night. Got all my wins AFTER I quit tooning. Very unusual.

The_Dad : (25 April 2017 - 08:36 AM)

similar experience last night... all my wins were BEFORE I started platooning

NeoGP : (25 April 2017 - 10:25 AM)

Hey Flint!

xtc4 : (25 April 2017 - 11:28 AM)

With new mm, having good players at the top of the list seems to make a huge difference. And platooning seems to almost always put you at bottom of the list. So perhaps it makes sense that you good players are winning when playing solo.

Welcome to the forums ToerryFutty :)

Archaic : (25 April 2017 - 11:14 PM)

Yes, platoons seem to be pretty gimped with 3-5-7

sgt. flint : (26 April 2017 - 02:12 AM)

Hey Neo, yes i remember you. any others from the old crew still running?

NeoGP : (26 April 2017 - 10:17 AM)

not sure man..I haven't played wot in 2+ years, alot of changes throughout the 5 clans

SGrant7 : (26 April 2017 - 12:05 PM)

Haven't been on much in the last few days, but are 2 man platoons fairing much better?

bergsteiger : (26 April 2017 - 02:38 PM)

Platooning doesn't seem as big of an issue as Tier 8s. Don't think I've had a single game that I was top tier in an VIII

In another thread we got to discussing who is allowed to join the DHO Clan on Bungie.Net and generally we all agree it is supposed to be Dads only. In addition I think everyone here agrees that the Bungie.Net membership approval should come AFTER membership approval here. "Proving", as it were, the dadness of said player.

If you look at the list of names on the Bungie.Net clan list there are a LOT of them that are not members of the forums here.

I propose a cleanup of the Bungie.net clan list to coincide with users who have joined the forums, posted their intro post, and then posted in the Destiny master list.

Can I, or some of the current Destiny addicts, get added to the admins for the Bungie.net DHO Destiny Clan?

Thoughts or concerns from anyone?

I am not opposed to this.

As many of you know I haven't played Destiny in a long time. I don't think I'll be back to it so I feel that I should relinquish my control as an admin.

Does anyone know how to do that?

My guess would be on Bungie.net, under the Community tab -> "My Clan"

And I agree Phoenix. Seems the 2 entities currently coexist only in name, not function. Feels like the two should tie-in together. Currently, the clan is far from the tight-knit group we've got going.

If I remember right we set the clan to not require approval of new members, which would be why we have people that aren't on here. I think it was set that way so we didn't have to maintain the list (which can be a pain because of different usernames between sites). So as long as we can change that setting and someone wants to be responsible for approving/maintaining the members I think it would be fine.

I don't think we need to remove admins, unless you want to be removed, I remember pbcarch was added as an admin a couple months after the clan was formed so we could just add a couple more. And I think it's a good idea to keep at least 1 mod/admin from the site as an admin of the clan, right now either Mags or Ruiner

I don't necessarily think we need to remove admins unless there is a limit then maybe someone could drop off.

But I'm all for adding approval required and I can maintain it.

I spend enough of my day at work looking at Destiny stuff anyways some approvals here and there would be fine. :)

Well...I'm going to have myself removed as an admin on the Bungie.net clan. I'll still be a member, but I'd like to leave the admin duties of that to more active people that play the game.

But that's me.
