So now the $1000000 question..
How did they get the TS paaword if they were not members of a who clan or this website??
I am guessing we need to notify all WOT players on rules of engagement here...
I have mentioned this before....
I have been with DHO for over three years. Our password has NEVER changed. How many dads have we had come and go and move on?
Countless can utilize it.We invite guys, send them teamspeak info and then they go inactive/quit/leave shortly later. My point is is that we have never changed our password so heaven only knows how many people have it.
If you do a search on this site forusing the exact password, you'll find it all over.
In fact, you will find several instances of it.It is in multiple posts.:0)
When I invite new dads, I PM them the link to our TeamSpeak thread and password.IF they are posting here and are receiving an invite to the clan, then they can have the TS info.
One quick search found it all over the place.

This isn't huge because it was caught. We don't have secrets, but this is a dads hideout, not a friends hangout. If you aren't a dad you can't be a member. Also TS is a privlidge for website members.
They should explain how they got here, at least then we can credit the recruiting effort.
We should really set up TS permissions.Allow anyone into the lobby who knows the password but anywhere else should require a DHO TS tag. That at least limits the exposure of the server.I also wish we had some rooms, particularly for CW, that were tag restricted so people didn't jump in and talk in a middle of a battle but that's a pretty rare event.
A month or so ago a random clan that was trying to get a hold of someone from X told me they stopped in our TS server but couldn't find anyone to talk to.I asked him how he got on our server w/o the password and he never responded.I'm 100% sure no one gave it to him so I'm assuming he used a search or something else to find it.
I can go back and see if I have the PMs regarding it but it was very odd.

As for jumping during a CW, I try to avoid it, but when I do random checks on members for compliance (bad avatar images) or promotion from "guest" to "normal" at the server level I might say something, no matter the channel. To help ANYONE with a "commander" server group title can designate a person to be "caller" (this is a channel group not server group) granting that person 100% talk volume when talking while everyone else is reduced to 50%.
Also, anyone with a Server Group rank of "commander" or above can promote other members to "normal" or even to "commander"

How would you guys feel if we changed the password then?Is that something we should look at?
Seems like it definitely needs changed since for whatever reason its been posted publicly numerous times. This really perplexes me why it happened to start and why no one called it out or edited those posts before.
I admit, I very rarely use TS, but its something the site pays for, for its members to use, so seems like a no brainer that its availability should be limited and restricted to members.
Interesting there is another thread going posing the question if we should let non members use this more, and yet our own members are this careless. This issue will be even worse with non-member access.
For what my vote is worth, announce it here ON THE SITE that it's changing, and only send it out via PM. Furthermore, anyone that isn't coming to the site regularly like I believe the WoT rules require, should have some kind of penalty, or talking to or something if their account history doesn't meet the standards.
Harsh, maybe, but this site is run by DONATIONS, if you don't come here, you can't donate, or contribute to the community otherwise, then you are just leeching. And yes, posting is contributing, it's not just about money.

Also, say Sly needs to talk to an outside clan about a diplo issue he simply drags the guy to a free channel to talk. When the guy leaves he doesn't have the freedom to move around when he comes back in and because he doesn't have permissions he must wait in the lobby for Sly to grab him again. If in the future there's a need to have a family channel (not debating that here) it would be simple to introduce another set of permissions that limit the family involvement.
I'd also suggest a banner in the lobby to instruct people on how to sign up with the DHO site if they're Dads.

To what extent do clan tags govern access in TS? I ask because I don't play WoT, but should still have access to it of needed. I know Chase is planning on using it for a Heroes of the Storm game night later this month and I don't think he plays WoT either.
If you logged in right now, you have access to everything except the commander channel.. Security works that you can assign a "tag" based on a users security level.. Currently we have normal users commanders junior admin and admin.. I may have missed a rank.
