Passing a personal milestone and thought I would share a thought or two. Hope you fellas don't mind the wind.

As Dads we have our and others personal lives taking up our time. Thus its so nice to be a member of a group that does not have requirements and achievement goals set in order to maintain membership, however, I bet many of you like me place them on yourselves.

Being human, I am naturally competitive as I know many of you are. Is that not why we play games? Do we not like to win? Even when we play against ourselves, do you not set goals to be better to be faster? How many of you set personal goals to get to certain levels, to get a certain tanks, then to get a mastery badge, then a mark or marks of excellence in that tank. Is it not that drive that brings you back. Is it not that drive that also makes us crazy. (according to wife)

All of these things make us achieve, develop, learn, and be better. Friendships here help get over the bumps in the game and make the road we choose more passable. Reaching those personal goals are a lot more enjoyable when you have the brotherhood stepping up coming to your aid.I thank all the members here for all they do for each other.

About two months ago I had a computer issue and I took a beating I was up to WN8 near 1500 and recent win rate around 54 percent and was banging on the door of one of my personal goals. When the computer crashed I was left running on a system that went to a 9 to 13 fps so everything dropped, like from 54 to 47 etc, etc, and I was not a happy camper, but insurance covered the repair and I am back up and I am moving back up. Now, I am back to a recent win rate of 52 and as of today and I reached that personal goal thanks to a few friends.

Last night I passed getting the personal rating of 5000. I know that its not anything set in World of Tanks but it was a goal I set when I started, I don't know why that number,I guess I just like the idea or the round number but at last I did achieve it!So I wanted to take a bit and share.

Next I have set 7500 we shall see..LOL

Reb

If you have one feel free to share.

Congrats, Rebel.

As a rather open ended game, it is good to set WoT goals for yourself. I try and ace each tank before it leaves the garage and play at least 100 battles in all tanks that are tier V and above to see if I can earn a mark of excellence. I also have an ongoing competition with another tanker, who will remain nameless, to see who can have the most tanks with mastery badges.

That is a fantastic achievement.

You should be proud.I am below that and falling so I lookup to you.I noticed the other day at nearly 17,000 battles, I have less than (on average) 5-10 battles between my wins and my losses.

The pain of idiots in pubs is terrible.Myself included, I can laugh at myself:2thumbs

It's just a game I say to myself, then get mad with loss after loss.

That's awesome, Rebel. I feel like I've been at 4,950 forever. Would love to pass 5,000. Why? Just because :-)

Nice Reb - most amazing part is you've been able to do this while somehow tolerating the guys in DHO6 the whole time - no easy task!

Congoratz, Reb!

Having played my first nearly 4k games without watching any videos or even installing xvm I was kind of shocked when I did and my wn8 was a very red 458..:eek It's been a long climb to get up to where people don't run from me at the start of matches :lmao2

I too have been trying to get the personal rating over 5k and I'm sitting at 4980ish at the moment. But it does feel good, don't it?:chiefdance
