Bought some spring pans for cake...read that spring pans leak and such. True or way around it?

your basic cake batter usually is fine, it's just if you make it to thin or watery then you may have an issue ?

Not sure on how thick/thin Jiffy is and don't have a regular cake pan. Maybe I can just turn it to cake cookie mix if its to thin?

Ended up buying a regular round cake pan. Do to my lack of understanding of today's "modern" ovens first go was fail.

We have a Calphalon simply nonstick that I've used a couple times.Never had a problem with leaking.

We have a Calphalon simply nonstick that I've used a couple times.Never had a problem with leaking.


Looking into slowly piecing together a Calphalon set. If their springforms don't leak speaks highly of their other products (and I'll admit even for Chinese made products). Online reviews also really high, readily available in my area as well locally.

Pretty well mastered no stick with regular pans for cakes though...always use parchment on the bottom.
