  1. It looks like quite a bit of info is starting to come out about update 1.7. Initially it appeared that the update was only going to include a bunch of 3D styles and a new effect. Now it appears that the double barrel tanks are coming with it as well. The double barrel tanks are making their way into the Supertest server now, starting with the IS-2-II. As they're planning on getting the double barrel tanks into 1.7, they'll all likely get through Supertest pretty quickly. The first Common Test for 1.7 is available to try now and only includes the new ability to purchase Crew Directives with credits (previously they could only be purchased with Bonds). Most people seem to agree that these 3D styles will be in the Holiday Loot Boxes, so the Common Test will likely see the double barrel tanks in the coming weeks to make sure it's ready on time... especially after the Halloween event fell through. A new map called Berlin has been teased for a few years now. Back in August, Dez posted that it was planned to come out possibly in 1.7. I'm not sure if that's still possible. There has also been a lot of talk about large changes coming to Minsk since Nov 2018... 3 months after it released. After a lot of different variations and changes through Supertest, it appears they're getting close and these changes could make it into 1.7 as well. This is all speculation though right now. I'll post more concrete info when I see it. For now though, we can hope. Videos about Minsk and Berlin are at the bottom of this post. 2. Changes to Frontline mode: Changed the number Combat Reserves slots available for each vehicle type — the new amounts are as follows: Light tanks: 1 slot (instead of 3) Medium tanks: 2 slots (instead of 1) Heavy tanks: 3 slots (instead of 1) Tank Destroyers: No changes (2 slots) SPGs: 1 slot (instead of 3) Decreased respawn cooldown from 30 to 10 seconds. Increased the repair cooldown of destroyed vehicles from 5 to 7 minutes; reinforcement cooldown remains unchanged. The objectives (pillboxes with the large-caliber guns) now spot enemy vehicles of the attacking team according to the standard rules of spotting. The view range of the pillboxes is 445 meters. Personally, I really enjoyed playing the LT's with the 3 slots. But, in my opinion, they did seem a little too good with them, especially the EBRs. Taking them away from SPG's has been long overdue. The most spammed class in the entire game mode. They shouldn't be able to call in air strikes or artillery strikes anyways. In a real battle, the unit calling in the strike can actually see the target. Wouldn't that be an interesting twist... The Heavy & Medium tanks are going to benefit from having more than one slot. They are the tanks in the heat of the battle. They should have always had more reserves running. I almost exclusively only ran Engineering on my HT's and MT's because it seemed like the only real one that could help on either offence or defence as you never know which side you're going to end up on. Decreasing the cool down is fantastic. Not that I die a lot, but that 30 seconds between was far too long. Not a huge fan of the repair cool down, but it means that people spamming the same tank (especially an OP tank) will have to wait longer to get back into that tank. I really like the idea of the objectives being able to spot. No longer will an EBR be able to sneak and get to the farthest possible objective on the other side of the map without being seen. Or at least it will make it much harder. Anyone who sneaks to the back and is visible will be open to artillery and air strikes and will be hunted down much easier. Overall, I think the changes are for the better.

  5. After a huge number of tests, both open and closed, and an especially successful open test in the European region, we are ready to launch the new matchmaker globally. On April 3, 2019, you can fully appreciate how the updated matchmaker changes battles quality for the better and makes World of Tanks more enjoyable than ever! New Matchmaking: What'll Be Different? Let us briefly recall how the improved matchmaker will now assemble battles. Our main goals are: -To reduce the number of battles with machines two-tiers higher (especially for Tier VI and VIII vehicles) and redistribute them into battles with tanks of the same tier and one-tier lower -To make battles more enjoyable for Premium Vehicles with preferential matchmaking. Now those of you who have these machines in your Garage will be less frequently getting matched with vehicles one-tier higher and more often with adversaries of the same tier and one-tier lower We'll achieve these goals by adding dynamic templates that can quickly adapt to the queue evolution, for both two-tier and three-tier battles. Here is a preliminary list of dynamic templates, which we're introducing: -Two-tier battles: 7-8, 6-9, and 4-11 -Three-tier battles: 4-5-6 and 4-4-7 The 3-5-7 and the 5-10 systems are also possible, but you'll face them less frequently — for example, if the queue structure is non-standard. This can happen if there are too many vehicles of the same class or specific machines in the queue. For example, if there are some battle missions specifically for TDs, and TDs make up 50%+ of all vehicles in the queue. What Will Happen to The Waiting Time? Just like we outlined previously, the waiting time for solo players may slightly increase and will depend on the current situation in the queue. The waiting time for Platoons may increase a bit more, but the enjoyment in each battle should also increase. Most likely, you won't notice a significant difference in the queuing time compared with the previous version of the matchmaker. https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/announcements/matchmaker-status-launch/ I'll link any videos they release about it here.
  6. How Will It Work? With the release of this feature, we will have to make some additional tweaks to the matchmaker. This will ensure you won’t get matchmade on your "blocked" map under any circumstances. The Excluded Maps feature: -Will only be available for Standard Battles, and not for Assault or Encounter Battles. -Will only work when playing Tier IV vehicles or higher and will be disabled for all three Grand Battles maps (Klondike, Nebelburg, and Hinterland). -If you wish to block a different map, you must wait at least four (4) hours to pass since you banned the previous one. How Will This Feature Work for Platoons? The feature will be available only to Platoon creators. The other Platoon members' Excluded Maps will be overridden by the Platoon creator's map list as long as they are part of that Platoon. We are still working on the concept, so this feature may change significantly in the future. We want to hear your suggestions, so feel free to ask your questions and share your feedback! https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/announcements/1-5-excluded-maps/
  7. So, some interesting additions & changes are coming in 1.4.1. The ability to paint tier VII tanks and some changes to maps are part of the update. But the most interesting additions are the ability to customize your crews, the introduction of Blueprints and the introduction of Random Rewards. See the link below for more information. It's worth the read. Random Rewards will be a nice addition earning you a chance at extra credits, bonds, consumables & yet to be announced goodies. Blueprints will help those that have a lot of tanks left to research in a tech tree. Those that have completed most of the lines will see little benefit here. Custom crews will be nice. They plan to even include memes and funny characters that can be used in any tank for any nation. They will only be available through the large Random Rewards. https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/general-news/update-1-4-1-common-test-1t/
  8. Adding of WV's Changes to some Personal Missions Changes to the Chimera & Obj. 279(E) Return and update of the map Ghost Town New customization features Performance changes for mulit-core CPU's
  9. Harkonnen estimates that the Premium EBR may come with update 1.4. He can't currently confirm that yet though... That would put the rest of the line with 1.5. Looks like my guesstimate was pretty close if all this information is correct. His estimated update schedule: Jan 17 or 18: 1st Common Test for 1.4 Jan 24 or 25: 2nd Common Test for 1.4 Feb 6: 1.4 goes Live All the details are here: https://thedailybounce.net/world-of-tanks/world-of-tanks-update-1-4-possible-dates/ Frontline is expected in 1.4 as well. Also, some MM changes that have been tested on the Asian server. Maybe @stewiejp can elaborate on what those look like...
  10. Some changes coming in 0.7.12. Info at the link below. Interestingly, a new type of Premium Account is coming. One that is WoWS only. Will it be the same price? Will it cost more? It adds more XP (65%), but because it's only good for WoWS, I would hope that they wouldn't charge more for it... https://thedailybounce.net/world-of-warships/world-of-warships-0-7-12-supertest-new-campaign-other-info/
  11. Looks like 0.7.11 will bring with it quite a few changes. Keep in mind that the following information comes from Supertest and is subject to change. As there is so much, I'll post the links to the info rather than all the info directly here. https://thedailybounce.net/2018/10/23/world-of-warships-0-7-11-supertest-balance-changes/ https://thedailybounce.net/2018/10/23/world-of-warships-0-7-11-supertest-concealment-expert-consumable-change/ https://thedailybounce.net/2018/10/23/world-of-warships-0-7-11-supertest-penetration-mechanics-and-other-changes/ https://thedailybounce.net/2018/10/23/world-of-warships-0-7-11-supertest-map-changes/ https://thedailybounce.net/2018/10/23/world-of-warships-0-7-11-supertest-new-collection-black-friday-emblems/
  12. For an in-depth look at all the changes, including map changes, personal mission changes, buffs to mission reward tanks, the new Grand Battle map and more bots coming to low tier battles, see the link below. https://worldoftanks.com/en/news/announcements/update-1-3-common-test-1/ One of the more notable things in this update is some of the map re-balancing that they've done. Watch the below video for a quick look at them. Maps being re-balanced include Fisherman's Bay, Himmelsdorf, Mannerheim Line & Pilsen. All of the balancing generally favours one spawn side over the other. To join the Common Test to try everything out, click here.
