  1. So a new tier VIII Premium Soviet TD entered Supertest. It's basically the Russian version of the Skorpion G. It has higher Alpha, similar pen, better camo and worse aim. Most importantly, it has a turret! The article from The Daily Bounce is below. World of Tanks Supertest: SU-130PM Soviet Tank Destroyer Today Wargaming is starting the closed test of a new Soviet Tier VIII Premium tank destroyer SU-130PM. An unhistorical vehicle based on the SU-100P light tank destroyer prototype. A fully operational SU-100P unit passed the trials and was greenlit for service, but it never entered mass production. Two other versions were tested, SU-152P with a 152mm anti-tank gun and a self-propelled version also with a 152mm gun denominated SU-152G. The surviving vehicles can be seen in Kubinka Tank Museum. The main difference between the game version and the completed prototype is the armament: in-game it boasts a more powerful 130mm cannon. Gameplay-wise, the SU-130PM is a compact vehicle with decent mobility, great camo and a hard-hitting gun with an alpha of 520 and a penetration of 243 mm with a standard round. You can hardly call this gun a sniper as its base accuracy is 0.35, but it still allows you to be effective at almost any distance. The SU-130PM is agile enough to benefit from switching flanks and firing positions. Its top speed is 65 km/h but it’s attainable after a period of time and on terrain with good traction—off-road it doesn’t perform so well. The cruising speed of the SU-130PM is between 45–55 km/h. The SU-130PM is very scantily armoured, has a small HP pool of 1100 points and a limited horizontal firing arc of 155 degrees. To survive in battle, you’ll need to rely on camouflage and using your mobility wisely. In resume, the SU-130P will be the Soviet version of the already in-game Skorpion G, but with better camouflage values. Last but not least, you should note this will be the first turreted Soviet tank destroyer, possibly opening the doors to the introduction of a new branch of Soviet turreted tank destroyers. Until we can confirm this, we will have to wait and see what will turn out of this vehicle.

Earn the Caernarvon Action X... For Free!

Nice! I didn't get nearly as much time as I would have liked. I'm hoping to get stage 4 done soon. Not sure if the cost will still be worth it for me though.
  3. Similar to the Italian Marathon, there will be another marathon coming for 2 weeks in Sept where you can earn the new Premium Tier VIII British Heavy Tank (and/or possibly earn a discount towards it). WG mention in a previous video that the missions would be easier this time than they were for the Italian Marathon. More details will be coming in another video and article in the near future. Once I have that info, I'll be posting it here.

    Map Discussion 1.0 Redux: Lakeville

A valley push all depends on the number of TD's and Arty in play. If a team has 5 TD and 3 arty, you can expect 2/3 of all those will be aiming down the valley. More so now that scouting in the mid can be harder due to the ditch and cover that was added to cross to the city. Early damage isn't as easy. If there is no LT in play, valley pushes/defenses seem more likely as no one is rushing to get early damage in the middle. The valley push only works if there are enough people pushing through and people don't all just sit and poke over the ridge. TDs and arty will whittle down the HP when constantly poking. The push needs to be committed to. The first people will get hit hard, but once people get over that hill (providing they have the numbers), the TDs and arty that were defending will fall fairly quickly. I'm not a fan of the valley still and tend to avoid it, but it does work with the numbers. If there are few TDs and arty, a strong valley push can win quickly. They changed the path to the village on the south side when update 1.0 came out. They made more of a trench for tanks to hide in to counter the fact that they couldn't drive the red line to prevent getting spotted. The north side can easily avoid being spotted if they drive the red line and stay in the bushes. Scouting the road usually reveals 2 things: -bad HT drivers going city while not driving the red line -MT's & LT's that are trying to counter the road by going road or by trying to get to the 6 & 7 line bushes quickly 90% of the time, an aggressive push to scout the road leads to the LT or MT being spotted with a high chance of being eliminated quickly. The times that it doesn't are when no one counter scouts the road. The question then becomes, is scouting the road worth it? If no one scouts the road and the enemy team sends tanks there, they can cause huge damage in side shots to your team in the city. If people are trying to fall back out of the city, they get wrecked from unspotted tanks on the road. Getting someone to scout the road early is still important, though I see more people doing the counter road scouting now from the 6 & 7 line bushes. If an LT uses the bushes to counter scout an LT on the road and nothing is spotted in the first min or two, usually an LT can back track to the road to scout any TDs that have set up their camps there. If you get spotted at this point, you're far less likely to get destroyed quickly as now most of the tanks have made their way into the city or valley. Early scouting in the valley is also important. With less information coming in from the road about how many tanks went city, a late scout of a big push in the valley can mean a quick loss. Sadly, coordinating scouting in pubs is not easy. If I'm in fast an LT or MT, I'll ask any other LT's where they are scouting. "IF" I get a response, I'll try to scout another location, or wait to see where they are going. One thing is for sure though, it's useless to send more than one LT down the road at the start. Odds are if one gets spotted, they will both will. Trying to maneuver on that tight road usually ends in one or both being killed. If someone else is going road, scout the valley or counter scout the road from lake side.
  5. Another Ace in the Progetto with +5,600 combined damage and +1,500 base XP. First battle of the night and was waiting on the Mrs to get home so I hadn't bothered to pop any boosters. Would have been a nice credit bump... 😭 Just missed the kill shots on the Mauschen and WZ for the Radley's. 😥

DHO Tankers - Mark of Excellence Summary

I think that the amount of tier X games tier VIII's pull does have something to do with it. I believe that the better players are pulling more damage (especially in tanks like the Progetto) with more high tier tanks to play against. This in turn makes a higher cap for the MOEs which in turn makes it harder for us regular type players to get that much more damage to get our marks.

    The New Italian Tank Line

So far we've seen only a little about the new Italian Tank line. We know that a tier VIII Premium MT will be coming ahead of the rest of the tank line. We also know that the tiers VIII - X will have a new auto-reloading feature. World of Tanks Supertest: Italian Tanks Mechanics World of Tanks Supertest: Italian Tanks Mechanics Italians are still far from coming to the game, but when they are introduced a brand new mechanic will be available: auto-reloading. Because it’s important to balance the new mechanic, Wargaming started fine tuning it in closed tests. Instead of using the actual tanks, full scale in-game 3D tank mockups equipped with auto-reloaders tuned for Tiers VIII, IX, and X were introduced with the objective of: 1. Defining the optimal reloading time – both for shifting shells inside the cylinder, and adding new ones when the cylinder is partially empty; 2. Balancing other values like DPM and penetration. This complex approach will try to make sure that upper-tier Italian tanks with auto-reloaders are fun to play and not over or underpowered. As for the 3D mockups mentioned above, these are crude models with little detail, which we also call “tank dummies”. They are similar in shape, armouring, and dimensions to real tanks that appear later on. https://i.imgur.com/IeGNsyZ.png Crew Ranks: Crew Portraits: Gun Marks:

    New Ships in Super Test

Looks like there 2 new Premium ships (German & Soviet) being tested in Super Test currently as well as one new tier IX Soviet Cruiser. These ships could all make the 0.7.2 update. Tier III Premium Soviet Cruiser https://thedailybounce.net/2018/02/07/world-of-warships-0-7-2-supertest-soviet-cruiser-varyag/ Tier VIII Premium German Destroyer https://thedailybounce.net/2018/02/07/world-of-warships-0-7-2-supertest-german-destroyer-z-39-details/ https://thedailybounce.net/2018/02/05/world-of-warships-supertest-z-39-tier-viii-german-destroyer/ Tier IX Soviet Cruiser (a "Heavy" Cruiser with Battleship sized guns... or as some are saying a "Battlecruiser"... one comment says it should be a tier VII Battleship instead) https://thedailybounce.net/2018/02/05/world-of-warships-supertest-kronshtadt-tier-ix-soviet-cruiser/

DHO Tankers - Mark of Excellence Summary

I was just thinking that another reason that it seems so skewed between the Progetto and the Skorp G is the fact that the Skorp G was purchasable by anyone, multiple times. According to numbers provided by QB, the Skorp G is one of (if not the) most played tanks in WoT atm. The Progetto though was only able to be purchased or earned the one time as far as I can tell. The people with the biggest discounts were either really good players or people that had the time to grind out the discounts. Most people wouldn't pay the full price as it was really expensive to buy the full priced bundle. This likely leads to a higher skill cap in the Progetto compared to a Skorp G. My in game mod points to 3 marking the Progetto at around 3,200 or 3,400 damage (can't remember which). That's an insane amount for any tier VIII! That's higher than some tier X's likely require...

Now that you mention it... Yes, it only says August. Nothing for Sept yet. I find it strange that the Progetto still doesn't show up in there yet... Seriously, how hard can it be to add a tank?

DHO Tankers - Mark of Excellence Summary

Current stats for my most played tier VIII's. A few surprises regarding damage per game vs number of MOE's. -T32 & Patriot have identical D/B. T32 has 2nd mark, Patriot only has first. -Defender still has no mark with +1,600 D/B. -I wonder what the new reqs for the Bulldog are... I sold it after the 10 clip was removed. -Emil I seems to have a pretty high ceiling too... 3rd highest D/B overall, but still only 1 MOE.

DHO Tankers - Mark of Excellence Summary

Screen shot to come later, but I got my first MOE in the Progetto 46 last night. I had to avg 1,850 dmg to get that 65%. One of the highest ceilings for a tier VIII that I've seen. In comparison, my avg in my Skorp G is very similar (~1,870) and I'm sitting at ~87%. @gpc_4, I looked you up to see how many you already had on it and was surprised to see that I beat you to the 1st one. I think the 3 mark is around 2,440ish dmg. That's crazy, eh?

Earn the Caernarvon Action X... For Free!

I'm only just starting stage IV. I haven't had nearly enough time on to grind much. Had a much better night last night then the previous night. Got my first MOE on my Progetto 46 in the process. That thing has an insane ceiling! Currently running around 1,850 dmg per match. That just gets you into the MOE's at 65%. Most tier VIII have a far lower entry point. On top of that, I had a pretty amazing match with +1300 XP and it only qualified as a 1st Class.
