    Ditched CPU water cooler

If you use the standard SP120s that come with it they can be quite noisy under loads. I change to the AF 120 fans for both LED and low noise.

    It's been a while

Not too much. Branched out my game library a lot. Mostly playing competitive Overwatch.
  3. Just wanted to pop in and say HI to everyone. It's been a while since I've been here and there's been some changes. I've been really busy with a lot of games including Overwatch, PUBG, Rocket League and quite a few others. Hit me up on Steam any time anybody wants to play.

    Miscreated

I wasn't aware of the issue.. That would be server persistency which causes that.

I played it religiously for quite a while. Then servers were having issues with broken headshots. I've been wanting to get back into it again but currently fixated on Overwatch.

I just noticed this and you did know there was a bunch of Corsair coolers that had very noisy pumps and they replace them free of cost. If your pump was noisy from the beginning that was probably the issue. I've been running the same H100i GTX for over 4 years and have had no noise issues except when I put my CPU into an extreme overclock. Even then it's mostly fan noise and not the pump.

    Kaby Lake first impressions

    WHat language are you speaking?
  9. Built a new rig with an I-5 7600K and GTX 1070. Failry impressed and after a wekk of burn-in decided to push the limit on the CPU. First run with a 4.3 base clock and stock clocks on the 1070 will update when I push it some more. Also, I'm thinking of putting a 7700K in it just to get the extra threads but unsure as of yet.

  11. Both my GPUs are at stock clocks. I don't really overclock them. My memory is actually downclocked to 2133 from stock 2400. Works better for my system.
  12. My favorite part of AIDA is the Memory Benchmark It also shows the amount of your overclock, in this case 44%
  13. I only use AIDA64 for Stress Tests and I run for no less than 15 minutes to check stability. If you're going for an extreme overclock like mine then you should run for much longer. Prime 95 has glitches that cause crashes resulting in users thinking an overclock is bad. Reddit has a good overclock section with /r/overclocking Also, if you are having issues with your overclock AIDA will automatically throttle the CPU by a percentage. I've included an example. Right now I'm having heat issues on my second core because of really bad TIM that had good reviews, however, under a situation like mine it doesn't perform as well. Best thing about overclocking is you really can't bypass the thermal limits put in place by your motherboard and CPU. There is only certain voltages that will mess up your new build.
  14. PassMark is on ok benchmark. For GPU you can use Unigine's Valley Benchmark or 3DMark for the best results. Just benched mine for the first time in a while and before I overclocked my GPus. I figure within the next few days I should have that finished and begin to start doing some tougher tests. Prime 95 isn't a benchmark but rather a stress test. It's more to see if your overclock is stable or not. My latest benchmark

    New build help

I have Crossfired RX 480s and the performance is good for the $600 price. I haven't used an internal ODD for years because you can put an adapter for even more SSDs when needed. I would definitely go with an M.2 SSD for a boot drive ( I wish I had on mine)
